Wear it Red during February

February is national #Heartmonth and an Alton-based charity is asking exercisers to “Wear it Red” and make a small donation towards its essential work for heart health.

Cardiac Rehab’s CEO Sarah Quarterman says: “Heart disease affects one in four people in the UK and is one of our biggest killers. Cardiac Rehab works with individuals to improve their heart health. Our work is not funded by the NHS and so we fundraise to keep the Centre running and help people to improve their fitness and life expectancy.”

Simply “Wear it Red” between 12th and 16th February and donate to Cardiac Rehab cardiac-rehab.co.uk/donate/ or pop into the Centre and donate in person – every pound makes a difference.

She adds: “Don’t forget to mention Cardiac Rehab on social media and share your red outfits on the day – on Facebook and Instagram – with the hashtag #WearitRed. Do also tell us why Cardiac Rehab is important to you and your family.”

The charity also supports people recovering from cancer, Covid, and even those preparing for joint surgery.
