Dr Hugh Bethell successfully completed the London Marathon in the fantastic time of 4 hours and 44 minutes. To date Hugh has raised over £10,500 in sponsorship. Hugh's sponsorship site is still open - it would be great to reach £11,000! For more details click here

Basingstoke & Alton Cardiac Rehabilitation Charity ("Cardiac Rehab") helps residents of north, east and mid Hampshire (and the surrounding areas) to recover and then maintain their health and fitness after heart attacks and heart operations.

Since January 2009 we have also offered the Staywell Scheme, under which GPs can refer to us people at high risk of developing heart disease, for courses of exercise and health education.

With a history going back to the late 1970s, and operating from its purpose-built Centre in Alton from 1997, Cardiac Rehab is one of the most well-established and respected organisations of its kind in the UK.  We are one of the largest providers of cardiac-related exercise and health education in the South of England, with over 50 hours per week of exercise sessions at the Centre.

The charity provides subsidised services to its users.  The Centre costs over £200,000 per year to run, of which we need to raise nearly 50% though fundraising efforts.  We need your support!
