Avenue Nurseries’ fundraiser for Cardiac Rehab

Huge thanks to Avenue Nurseries who raised over £2000 for us over Christmas!

Local garden centre Avenue Nurseries in Lasham have got our year off to a great start by donating over £2000 to Cardiac Rehab, following their Christmas fundraising efforts in store in December.

Thanks to their customers’ generosity, and their delightful winter themed displays and raffle in store, they were able to present Cardiac Rehab Centre Manager Denise Ellis (pictured) with a cheque for £2,180 this week.  She commented: “It was a pleasure to receive the cheque from Peter, on behalf of his team and customers.  We are incredibly grateful to Avenue Nurseries for their support and to everyone who donated or bought a ticket.  This has made the start to the year, in the face of COVID-19, a little bit easier.  Thank you.”

The festive fundraiser held by the nursery has been a huge help to the Rehab Centre, whose doors are now closed due to the current lockdown.  The Rehab team are offering a number of classes online, as an alternative to exercising at the Centre, but this has inevitably affected the number of people exercising and therefore the income for the Charity.  Donations, such as this one, are helping to keep the service running.
