Friends of Cardiac Rehab launched
110 people attended the 'Friends of Cardiac Rehab' launch at the Cardiac Rehab Centre in Alton on Friday 26th February. Presentations from current exercisers highlighted the benefits of the Centre and there were also presentations on fundraising and ideas for events for the future. A number of attendees volunteered to run events or be volunteers in addition to others signing up to donate via covenants. The Cardiac Rehab Centre depends upon fund-raising to continue its day to day service. A drive to increase our income is being launched for a number of reasons - the recession has made funds less easy to raise, we are taking on more Centre users and are planning for future growth of the Centre. A prominent local businessman, Alan Westall, has recently joined us and the 'Friends of Cardiac Rehab' will support fund-raising in a variety of ways and to do so in a manner that is not only different but fun. If you would be interested in joining the Friends please contact the Centre.
